    1. Blessings for Obedience

    Deuteronomy 28:1

    And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if youobey the voice of the Lord your God. 3 Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. 6 Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. 

    2. Curses for Disobedience

    Deuteronomy 28:15 

    But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. 16 Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field. 19 Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.

    Galatians 3:10 

    For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.11 For The righteous shall live by faith.13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for usfor it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— 14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith. 

    3. Jesus became our curse so He could be our blessing.

    Romans 4:7-8

    Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will nevercount against them.

    Galatians 3:14

    So that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

    Ephesians 1:3 

    Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,

    James 1:25

    But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in itnot forgetting what they have heard but doing itthey will be blessed in what they do. 

    1 Peter 3:9

    Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
