That Will Be Glory

Hebrews 2:15
“and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.”
1 Thessalonians 4:13

“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.”

Three Questions Today…

1. Where do we go when we die?

Paradise
Luke 23:42-43
“And he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ And He said to him, ‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.’”
2 Corinthians 12:2-4

“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether I was in body or out of the body I do not know – God knows. And I know that this man – whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know – but God knows – was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that nobody is permitted to tell.”

2. When do Christians go to paradise?

At once; Instantly; Immediately
Luke 23:43

“And Jesus said to him, ‘truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.’”

2 Corinthians 5:8

“Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”

Hebrews 12:1-2

“Therefore, since we are surrounded  by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

3. What will Christians do in Paradise?

The healing of our souls
Luke 16:19-31

Enjoy the wonder and splendor of God

Romans 11:33

“Oh, the depths of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgements and how inscrutable His ways!”

We will join Jesus in praying for those still here.

Hebrews 7:25

“Consequently, He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Samuel Rutherford, “I am in the happiest pass to which man ever came. Christ is mine and I am His, and there is nothing between me and resurrection except paradise!"
